Our July's Guest Stamper is Trisha Magnus! I will let her posts do the talking!
hey,. hey, it's guest stamper post time!
After going back and forth and back again for about a bajillion times, I settled on..... Silhouette Scenes!!! I feel like this might be one of our "sleeper" suites so I was happy to play with it. It's a little daunting at first because you think GASP no coloring?! But OH. JUST YOU WAIT. I hope these posts this month show you that you can do SO much with it.... with AND without the coordinating dies!
For my first project.... I chose the little girl on the swing. This image JUMPED out at me the second I saw this stamp set. I literally pictured this card in my head and am still absolutely giddy that it turned out the way I wanted!
I meshed Silhouette Scenes with a bit of "Little Twinkle" for this card. I stamped the stars a million times, using both the small images and the large solo star. I embossed the smaller star with just regular white embossing powder, but used our NEW Shimmer white embossing powder for the solo stars. I took a blender pen and sort of smeared some versamark to make a "milky way" that I embossed with the shimmer powder as well.
Then I got to work on my background. If you know me, and have received any of my card swaps, you know I LOVE ME SOME INK BLENDING. Like, LOVE. I knew I wanted the moon and the girl sort of highlighted, so I did a bit of So Saffron in those areas, then blended in Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Highland Heather, and finally, Night of Navy. I stamped the girl AFTER my ink blending. I then used my Stampin Write marker to extend the lines of her swing and hand drew cute little "ribbons" to hook it over the moon. I punched out the moon using the Twinkle Builder punch, and used dimensionals to pop it up. The effect is CHARMING. You could even use a 1-1/2" circle punch and diy your half moon if you wanted to.
I then glued my panel to a layer of So Saffron, with just the THINNEST border ever. I wanted to enhance the card without taking away from the shadow figures. I embossed the sentiment with White Embossing powder and make the tail with our Tailored Tag punch. Add some dimensionals and flush positioning to the left... then Pop it all onto a black card base using the foam strips, and voila.
Now, an extra feature?! I colored my dimensionals!! THAT'S RIGHT. I thought the white sides took away from everything, so I took a sharpie to my foam strips. Key note here.... I should have done this BEFORE mounting my layers because my sharpie leaked slightly. ARGH.
Also, I thought the sparkle embossing powder would be friendly to stamp over. it's NOT. So if you're using it, try and keep it as last in your process as possible. I had hoped the one star would be behind her.... not on her butt. 😂😂😄
I felt like the outter sentiment was strong enough, so I just did some hand drawn stitching inside on a white layer and called it a day.
That's it this week! Just wait til you see what I have cooked up for next week. Hope you liked this and find some inspiration!

Have you ever felt like you blinked and a month passed? That’s me right now. Sorry for my delay, here is post 2 for guest stamper of the month 💕
This time I took the beautiful couple in the Silhouette Scenes set and attempted another mental vision. It didn’t work out fully how I pictured but I still love the results.
I embossed the couple first using our shimmer black embossing powder, then used a “drip effect” of inks on watercolor paper to create the rain. (This is where vision didn’t match results but as you can see it’s still gorgeous.
I cut the hearts with the Be Mine dies and vellum; and placed them like clouds above the couple, then used the cut outs as “rain”. I also used the multipurpose sizzix adhesive sheets we used to offer to glue those all down. Then I took wink of Stella and sparkled the heck outta my “clouds”.
The “love” is from our Well Written dies, and I did 3 layers in black then 1 in Gorgeous Grape to give dimension. I used our largest stitched rectangle to frame the couple, but used the negative putter cut as the actual frame. I colored the foam strips all black again and then popped up the black frame.
For the inside, I hand drew the border and then used sponge daubers with highland heather, balmy blue and pacific point for the sentiment to create the “rainbow” blend. I then added two more of the vellum hearts with wink of Stella on them to finish off the card.
That’s it this week! Thank you everyone for your comments last time even if I slacked off responding. Mom brain is TOUGH y’all. 😂😂
This post is beyond delayed but that is my life right now. Here is my third project for Guest Stamper, using the "Silhouette Scenes" stamp set.
I used the three adorable images of children for this one, and did a double z-fold card. I first stamped the children in Memento, then fussy cut them out and sponged the sides of the images in Crumb Cake. I did this to blend into the hillside and sentiment squares that I had sponged as well. The sentiments are also from New Wonders, and Well Said. I used the dies from Silhouette Scenes and also Winter Woods for the hillside - I just positioned my paper to be slightly off the edge of the big shot every time I ran it through so that it could extend the entire length of my "hill". I used sponge daubbers in Night of Navy, Old Olive, and Pacific Point to blend my colors for the word "Adventure", and then punched stars with the Twinkle Builder punch from the same left over paper.
Hope you enjoyed this project! I'll have it posted to my blog soon with more detailed explanation of how I did this. But let me know if you have any questions! ❤️
oh.. and side note, the only thing I would change if doing this again is the word. I let it hang off but my "e" tore off almost immediately. I plan on redoing it and fixing this card before giving it away.

At long last, my final project as guest stamper featuring the Silhouette Scenes stamp set. For my final project, I tried to brighten things up a bit, and did a blend of pinks for a sponged sky background. I used Blushing Bride, Rococo Rose, and Petal Pink, then added small touches of So Saffron right in the middle. I then mixed some Balmy Blue and Highland Heather ink refills into some embossing paste and masked on the clouds. I was aiming for a more pastel look, and while I didn't get THAT result, I really love what came out of it. I feel like sponging is always a super fun guessing game when you're blending.
I then used Tranquil Tide, Pear Pizzazz, Night of Navy, and Pretty Peacock to create the grass portion. I used the rolling hill border die from Winter Woods, and curved my paper up a little bit with a dimensional underneath the middle part so that it pops up a little.
Then, I stamped the figure of the girl pointing up in Versamark and embossed with our new Black Sparkle embossing powder. I fussy cut her out and cut VERY close to make sure no white showed through. I used a super fine sponge brush to sponge some blushing bride into the section between her arm and body so that it looks like it's fussy cut but it's NOT! She is then popped up on both layers using dimensionals.
Then, I took the stitched heart from the Be Mine frames and "cut" that into the sky, giving the impression of a constellation. I used some stars punched in vellum to be accent points of the heart to stress that effect. I used the word from the Sweet Silhouette dies (part of this bundle!), and cut it out of vellum then used Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray blends to add a touch of color to resemble the clouds.
For the sentiment inside, I used the heart constellation from Little Twinkle (which was actually the inspiration for the front), and the sentiment from Silhouette Scenes. I actually plan on giving this to my sweet little 11 year-old niece who inspires me daily with her creative mind.
Thank you everyone for your support and comments during these posts. I'd like to take a moment to thank Erica for the fun opportunity and again apologize for my insane delay getting these projects posted. Slow for even me! 😄🤦♀️🙈
